The New Rochelle School District is planning to introduce an app for students that will help stop bullying, while allowing the bullied to remain anonymous.
Osborne said that the anonymous tips app for students will allow them to alert school officials to any bullying behaviors or brewing tensions so that adults can intervene before any potential violence occurs. The announcement came following three separate violent incidents involving students, including the fatal stabbing of a high school junior.
No timetable has been announced for the launch of the app.
“Please be assured that City School District of New Rochelle Board of Education and Administration place the safety of your children as our highest and most critically important priority,” Osborne said. “We will continue to communicate our efforts to you on this through ongoing communication and public meetings.”
